What's the difference between happiness and JOY? And how can God look at us and say that He is pleased with us? Has God really looked at me and said He is pleased with me, I'm not even pleased with me most of the time, so how could God be pleased? The source of God's joy and our joy is Jesus our Savior. He is our JOY!

Today is the first Sunday in Advent, a day we HOPE for the future with eyes on the past. Preparing for Christmas by remembering past Christmases, old decorations, traditions, and songs. God prepares people for the birth of HIs One and only Son by sending John the prophet to prepare the way. Advent is the season the church looks back at Jesus coming and looks forward to Him coming again.

Let’s keep doing good for other people, restoring them, supporting them, loving others in the name of Jesus, but don’t brag about it.
