Happy Easter!!! What are you looking for? Every time I think about Easter I remember kids running around looking for Easter eggs filled with candy. But the first people looking for something on Easter were the women looking for Jesus in the tomb. We are all looking for something or someone. No matter how hard we are looking we won't find what we are looking for in a tomb. Jesus is alive! Life is hard, we need to PRAY FOR EACH OTHER - James 5:7-20
Life is hard. Today we celebrate Palm Sunday, remembering the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem as King. The crowds praised God and cheered for Jesus to take the thrown, but Jesus didn’t give them what they wanted. Days later Jesus gave them what needed as he gave his life on the cross. Life is hard for us too and Jesus doesn’t give us everything we want. Life is hard, so we pray. And Jesus gives us what we need. Pastor, I thought you said I didn’t have to do anything?! It's true, we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We can't DO anything to earn God's grace, it's a gift. So what does James mean when he says be Doers of the Word? That's what we will be discussing today. God is calling us to be Doers of His Word. You might want to listen to this with a mirror near bye.
