He Shall Be Called

King of the Jews - Matthew 2:1-12

Wise men come from the east, following a special star, a star that signifies the birth of the King of the Jews. They followed that star all the was to Jerusalem, but there was no baby in the king’s palace. So they followed the star to Bethlehem and worshiped Jesus, the King of the Jews. Years later as Jesus dies on the cross for us, we see His name written above him, the King of the Jews.

Savior, Christ the Lord - Luke 2:1-21

The Angel says to the shepherds, he has good news of great joy for all the people, “a Savior is born and He is Christ the Lord” We love good news and it's even better when it's good news for everyone. We all need the Savior and Christ the Lord saves more that just the day. Jesus saves our eternity. Immanuel- God With Us - Matthew 1:18-25

God told a prophet over 700 years before Jesus was born, that a virgin would give birth to a Son and we would call his name Immanuel which is translated “God with us”. And God kept his promise, a Son was born, He is God with us, God with skin on, and His name is Jesus.

Son of the Most High - Luke 1:26-38

On Christmas we celebrate the birth of the Son, yes, the Son of God becomes familiar to His people, living among us. But we can not forget the majesty of Jesus. He is the Son of the Most High. That is God’s name, He is high and lifted up. Even the demons when they encounter Jesus cry out in fear.
