Merry Christmas! I hear "O Holy Night" and I sing along and then I wonder how holy was the night our Savior was born - birth is a mess! We are messy people living messed up lives, but Jesus comes and makes us holy. The night Jesus entered our messy world is holy because Jesus' presence makes it holy. Jesus makes our messy lives holy too.

We say it all the time, God loves us even though we are selfish little sinners. Today we hear about how God gives faith into a prostitute's life and makes her a part of Jesus' family tree. God loves and forgives sinners like Rahab and you and me.
